Kate Zumach is from Naperville, Illinois. Prior to attending the Biomedical Visualization Master's Program at UIC, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological and Pre-Medical Illustration and a degree in Entomology from Iowa State University.
Her most recent work has been as a Medical VR 3d modeler and animator for NYU VR Dental Lab in New York. She previously worked as a medical animator with an emphasis in patient education in North Carolina.
Her favorite project from graduate school was her project research, where she worked with paleontologist Dr. Paul Sereno, a professor at the University of Chicago and Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society, to reconstruct a 100 million year old skull.
